Today we have the pleasure of announcing some important upcoming changes to the way that SQUAWKBOX connects and posts to Facebook. For the last few weeks our team of talented developers have been working hard to make the process of posting to your Facebook cleaner and more efficient. These changes are due to come into effect from Monday the 14th of November.
A exciting difference you will notice when posting to your Facebook pages through the ‘Communicate’ menu will be the absence of a shortened URL in the small editing box where you alter the text of the update. The flyer you are publishing will now directly embed into the update with a small image thumbnail and a click-able headline as shown in the picture below.
Another change in the posts sent to Facebook that you will notice from Monday is the inclusion of your website on status updates. This new feature will be shown below the headline of the post and will provide your business with the fantastic opportunity to further promote your business through the newsfeeds of your fans! The details of your website will be pulled from the information listed in the ‘Account Settings’ section of the application – if you haven’t added in your website yet, you can do so by pressing the ‘edit’ button underneath your business details!
Finally, a change we’re excited to announce are some upgrades to the process of connecting your Facebook to the platform. We’ve introduced a protocol that allows for secure API authorisation as well as tidied up the screens you see during the connection process to make things more efficient.
We’re excited by these changes and we hope you are too! If you have any other questions or would like to express interest in growing your Facebook likes with our landing page service, email us today!
